Ingredients of ISDIN Fusion Water SPF 50

ISDIN Fusion Water SPF 50 owes its exceptional sun protection abilities to an innovative blend of active ingredients that work together seamlessly. The sunscreen includes the following key ingredients:

  1. Octocrylene: Helps to stabilize other active ingredients in the formula and provides protection against UVB rays.
  2. Homosalate: Absorbs UVB rays and also helps the product to spread evenly across the skin.
  3. Octisalate: Provides protection against UVB rays.
  4. Avobenzone: Absorbs UVA rays and helps to protect against the damaging effects of free radicals.

All of these ingredients work in concert to provide high UVA and UVB protection, without causing irritation or sensitivity. Plus, the non-greasy, lightweight texture of ISDIN Fusion Water SPF 50 makes it a joy to apply and wear.

How to Use ISDIN Fusion Water SPF 50

Here are the step-by-step instructions for applying ISDIN Fusion Water SPF 50:

  1. Before heading out into the sun, apply the sunscreen liberally to all exposed skin, including your face, neck, arms, and legs.
  1. Make sure to apply the sunscreen 15 to 30 minutes before sun exposure. This allows the product to fully absorb into your skin and provide the best possible protection.
  1. If you plan on swimming or sweating, be sure to apply the sunscreen before getting wet. ISDIN Fusion Water SPF 50 is water-resistant for up to 40 minutes, but it’s always a good idea to reapply as soon as possible after coming out of the water or sweating heavily.
  1. Even if you’re not swimming or sweating, it’s important to reapply sunscreen every two hours. This ensures that you are fully protected from the sun’s harmful rays throughout the day.

4 Warnings and Precautions for ISDIN Fusion Water SPF 50 Users

  1. ISDIN Fusion Water SPF 50 provides high UVA and UVB protection but does not provide complete protection from the sun.
  2. To ensure maximum protection, it is recommended that you also wear protective clothing, such as a hat and long-sleeved shirt, and seek shade when possible.
  3. Avoid contact with eyes while applying sunscreen. If contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water.
  4. Do not apply ISDIN Fusion Water SPF 50 to broken or irritated skin, as it may cause further irritation or discomfort.

My Personal Experience

When I first discovered ISDIN Fusion Water SPF 50, I thought I had found the perfect sunscreen. It was the first sunscreen I ever used that didn’t leave my face shiny, but instead, it moisturized and mattified my skin without making it look dull. The silky finish and absence of any white cast made it the holy grail of sunscreens for me. I had been using it for years without any issues until one day, I started wondering about its UVA protection. As someone who lives near the equator, at a high altitude, and treats hyperpigmentation, I needed a sunscreen that could provide me with high UVA and UVB protection.

After some research, I found out that ISDIN does not disclose its PPD, which is the closest standard to UVA protection factor. Even though the packaging claimed that it met the European Union’s UVA protection standard, I didn’t feel that was good enough for my skin’s needs. So, I decided to search for a better option that would provide both high protection and cosmetic appeal.

Here I’m listing some products that gives high UVA and UVB protection:

La Roche-Posay Anthelios Ultra-Light Fluid Face Sunscreen SPF 60

Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunscreen SPF 100+

EltaMD UV Clear Facial Sunscreen SPF 46

Supergoop! Unseen Sunscreen SPF 40

Shiseido Ultimate Sun Protector Lotion SPF 50+

Coola Mineral Sun Silk Crème SPF 30

Drunk Elephant Umbra Sheer Physical Daily Defense SPF 30

Heliocare 360 Gel Oil-Free Sunscreen SPF 50+

Just remember, I’m not a dermatologist and I recommended these based on my personal experience. You have to do your own research or see a skincare specialist before applying any of these.
